It is possibly 2nd degree murder. It all depends on the gun and if the cop was just in an I want to kill a nigger mode. If he had talked about this with a college who testified to this (million to one) that would be 1st degree.

Conjecture. The video does not look good. I think everyone is concerned by anything in the hand being assumed to be a gun these days. However.. if it was a gun..

The US is the only developed country where running for the police is commonly accepted as a capital offense. This will kill a lot of mentally ill people and bad guys of course.

Perhaps AI will provide a solution. It seems this will just keep happening but without a push-back from the society it will happen a lot more.

You dont have to wake up in the morning and plan to kill someone for it to be premeditated,he could have decided when the perp was running.

The video shows the cop kept his gun aimed at the criminal after he was down meaning he still thought he was 'armed and dangerous'.
