Max, sorry but you are way off base here. Democrats try to exploit every tragedy to agitate for gun control. Bump stocks are such a side issue.
As we have seen in Europe, terrorists do not need guns to kill a lot of people. They can use cars and trucks.
We will never eliminate criminal violence or terrorism but we can limit it. Why would we ever want to allow populations with a propensity for terrorism to immigrate here? Why can we not crack down on urban gang violence? And how about we demand some responsibility from the numerous media and political personalities who have so poisoned our political discourse that people feel it is justifiable to physically attack opponents?
This Vegas shooter did not pick that audience because he disliked country music. He had a hatred of the sort of people who supported Trump. The NRA doesn't share blame for it. The entire media/political/university establishment does.

Man im all for freedom free to do whatever you want, including defending yourself, like i said im a canuck who has never even shot a gun, i dont believe in banning, but there has to be a way to stop that, i simply cant come to a single conclusion in my eyes where bump firing a gun would actually be beneficial to society, imagine what would happen if that was the response in some Urban neghborhood, all of a sudden a hail of bullets are coming through the wall, long after the guys been dead.......... Like i said i maybe shouldnt weigh in here, but it makes no sense to me that someone could turn a weapon into a fully automatic that easily, it seems to me that even in the case of self defense i would not want people bump firing like 1200 roounds per minute indiscriminately into their neighbors.
There has to be a way to solve that problem, because next up some fucking terrorist is going to figure this out (and its a miracle they havent) and then we are going to start seeing MASS casualties at all of these shootings, where a guy goes to a flea market and moes down 500....... i just cant picture a scenario where guns rights advocates can argue that bump firing is beneficial to anyone....... but terrorists....... My mind is open, id love to hear why, but i dont see how the ability to easily create a fully automatic weapon benefits anyone.

Freedoms aren't about needs. If we can just say people don't need that, then do women really need abortions? Do homosexuals really need to get married? Do those muslims from the middle east really need to come here. And they had to invent a right in the first place for most of those.

Yeah, but then you can make the old argument about "why can't people own tanks/bazookas, etc.." At a certain point, the line has to be drawn.
I agree with Max that there is no need for this stock, but that doesn't mean I agree with him that it can be banned. I don't see how it can be banned.
