Ok, people who are against gun control are going to hate me for this one, but if this is how easy it is to "Bump fire" a gun, something has to be done about this, its basically a joke to turn a gun into a fully automatic, something needs to be done about triggers or something, this is where i draw the line. Hillary and the people on the left are wrong thinking that machine guns are legal, but WTF is the difference between this and a machine gun? From what ive heard so far this is what the guy was doing, whats the difference?

If it only takes 2 seconds on the internet to figure out how to make a gun into a fully automatic, something needs to be done here, there is simply no way to justify this. Its a fucking miracle more people who wanted to shoot some place up have not figured out how to do this, after that shooting i had to look it up, but if more people figure that out we are going to see mass casualties over and over and over, there is no way to say people should be able to have a gun that can indiscriminately spray bullets like a war zone.

Im not talking about banning guns, or style of guns, but something has to be done about the trigger mechanism so that this shit is not possible, i cant think of any self defense scenario where its advantageous for some person to just start spraying bullets like that into an indiscriminate target.

I dont know shit about guns, ive never even shot one but if its this easy for a psychopath to spray bullets indiscriminately its a glitch in the matrix, something needs to be done.

I find that method of bump firing difficult.This accessory makes it a lot easier with better aim and control.Completely legal for for around 100-500 bucks

Took you off ignore to see this post, if you want to have civilised debate im down with that, thx for the post, this just confirms my belief, this has to change, if its this easy to do this it sure as hell should not be legal in my opinion. I dont know anything about guns so i dont know how you change it, but something has to give there.

Well, ok. So it seems easy to "bump stock" a semi-automatic weapon into an automatic one. Is this something that I would do ? Probably not. I've never owned a gun, and hope never to own one. As far as my family is concerned, I don't think there is anyone in my family ... brothers, father, grandfather, etc who has ever owned a gun. So I don't expect to "bump stock" one. You could toss me a "bumped stock" AR-15, and I would toss it right back to you.

Anyway, the fact that it's easy to "bump stock" a semi-automatic weapon into an automatic one does not necessarily mean that hordes of folks are going to do this in order to kill scores of people. Murder is not something most of us contemplate, at least not in reality. Yea, making it more difficult to do might have helped in the LV attack. Without the auto weapon he still would have killed, just not as many. You don't murder because you have a gun, you murder because ... ?

I'm a 2nd amendment supporter and gun owner which is why you never see me criticize guns on here but I agree something needs to change and I am willing to give up some gun rights.

I dont know shit about guns, but i trade with a few guys from the U.S. who are passionate about them, the media is never going to tell the truth on this one, because they dont want this to become common knowledge, i was blown away that its that easy to turn a gun into a fully automatic...... ive never been against guns for self defense, but guns that just spray indiscriminately is a different story, this is the first time in my life ive thought there has to be a change.

I cant picture a scenario other than scarface where you would want to just indiscriminately mow people down, something has to be done about that. Im surprised terrorists havent figured it out yet.

Ok, so we stop the ability to modify. But the bigger problem is stopping the murderer. Stopping the modification may not necessarily stop the murderer.

Ive never been for taking guns away, but if its that easy to turn a gun into a fully automatic something needs to change there, im amazed the media isnt reporting on this, it makes me think that they realise how much of a disaster this is. If mass shooters learn how to do this, you can expect mass casualties from now on. I dont know how you can change that, but anything that makes it that easy to turn a gun into a fully auto needs to be stopped.

I get the self defense argument, but there is never going to be a way you can tell me that people should be able to just indiscriminately spray bullets like that in self defense. When i learned how easy that was to do today i felt sick to my stomach, terrorists are going to learn how to do that if it remains legal it will be as simple as going to the gun store and picking up a couple guns. I just cant think of a way to get around that morally, i cant see how that should be legal.
