Oh I am sure that the NFL will submit to Trump's demands in this situation --- because the majority of the people in the U.S. support his position -- and NFL is falling rapidly in the recent weeks.

Their revenue, merchandising, stadium attendance, and TV audience has not been falling at the rate it has in the past 5 weeks however.

I think the NFL is coming up with alternative methods to allow players to protest - something along the lines of armbands, helmet emblems, or colorful cleats. This is a much better path since the message will be visible the entire game and will take the focus away from the anthem controversy & towards the message. It is also something that over 80% of their audience would support.

Doubtful. As I said before, the method of protest is only one aspect of the issue. The message is equally if not more important.

A leagues that barred players from wearing 9/11 commemorative cleats and stopped Tim Tebow from wearing eye black with Bible verses is suddenly going to allow idiot players to sport all kinds of protest wear? Fans will be even more furious.

What the league should do is quite clear. First, do not renew Commissioner Empty Suit's contract, which just happens to be up for renewal. He is a total dipshit disaster, literally a guy who could only have a job in something like media where there are no requirements other than spouting liberal politics.

Second, tell the players they have a choice. They can protest at games or they can play in the NFL, they just can't do both. They have six days a week to protest. That should be enough. Do it on your own time.
