So basically, this stuffed shirt Goodell wants to turn the NFL into a platform for "social justice." To him, and a majority of the owners apparently, supporting the BLM agenda of murdering police officers, blocking roads and endless rioting and looting is a core value of the league. It's just a matter of finding the best way to push it without needlessly antagonizing their racist fans.

At least we know where everybody stands now.
 
The league would recovery without some of the current players.
It will not recovery without the fans.
It looks to me like the owners may be making a long term mistake.
My wife had the broncos game on... it was her favorite team against my former favorite team.
I now found myself not caring... at all. I watched about a quarter. After not watching at all for a few weeks, the magic is 100 percent gone.

49ers CEO Jed York called Tuesday’s meeting between the NFL and the NFL Players Association “one of his proudest days,” crediting Colin Kaepernick for inspiring the talks.

“[Kaepernick’s] message has been lost,” York said, via multiple tweets. “That’s the disappointing part of all of this. . . . The more you sit with players and hear what they’re fighting for, it’s hard to disagree with them.”

York said the four-hour discussion led to every NFL owner better understanding why players feel compelled to protest during the national anthem. He admitted being taken aback the first time Kaepernick protested during the national anthem last season, but after talking to the team’s former starting quarterback, York said he understood and offered his support.

“If we don’t care about the causes that make them tick, then what are we about?” York said.

York has continued to support his players and their right to protest.
 
Well, they better lower the price of admission because most of the crowd supporting the players can't afford a ticket. The "racist" white fans are the ones footing the bill, and while I imagine a few will stupidly continue to finance this scam, a large portion will not. Haven't watched a down all season and I see no reason to change. I'm sure that I am not alone. The longer fans stay away and find other things to entertain themselves with, the less likely we ever return. You got your right to protest these fabricated grievances, and I have my right to say go fuck yourselves.
 
I think Kaepernick would make an excellent NFL Commissioner.

If you are going to flush the whole NFL down the toilet bit by bit and make it a billboard for social grievances - while asking the fans to pay for it- then why not put the biggest turd of all in the bowl and get it over with? Put some illegals on the teams too so that it is more inclusive. Have Islamic prayer on the field at halftime and get rid of all that Great Satan halftime stuff that is offensive to good muslims. Why should they have to play in an atmosphere that is offensive to their religion as a condition to playing?

When do they attack golf? Seems like such an obvious target. Big liberal corporate sponsors, white fan base. If they could ruin NASCAR and the NFL, ruining golf should be child's play for them.

I keep saying, activists aren't happy unless they're making the lives of everyone as miserable as they are. Activists are forever taking offense at anything and everything. They cannot be pleased, will always want and demand further concessions to any and all grievances they have, real or imagined. Of course it's about power and money, and it's a growing industry spearheaded, but not confined to, by the likes of AL and Jesse. Academia had been overrun by them, government following a close second, entertainment industry doing their level best to chime in at every opportunity, corporate America at the breaking point, isn't anyone exempt from their tyranny right down to the individual just trying to get through the day. It's madness and social media has been a godsend to them as it spreads their nonsense at warp speed. All downhill from here unless, as a nation, we grow a pair.
