The way I derived this number was assuming 4-5% of infected die globally which is an over-estimate. But something like 0.5% seem to be infected enough to be counted. And not everyone gets infected. Top line is a couple million.
Trust me, speaking from experience and knowing you by now, you won't. You will do very well in your ripe old age.
Very likely a couple of effective treatments will come out shortly (in April) and in combination should help reduce the death rate greatly. Your estimate is therefore reasonable.
