Why do atheist's fear God?

your faith in a future explanation is one of the possibilities...

God did it.
the multiverse enables it
or someday we will find a theory explaining whey all the constants had to be the way they are. (the so called theory of everthing.)

that is something I have been telling your for years and years.

So you're saying it's God or Pixie Dust type non explanations.
Or a scientific explanation.

Now you're getting it.

no troll.

what I say or what you say is not the point.
the point is what the scientists are saying the science indicates.

The point is, there is no science to indicate the universe is 'fine tuned' which means you never had a point.

Doesn't this argument really boil down to the difference between "appears" and "is" fine-tuned?

I don't follow every punch and counter-punch. : )

Yes of course. Jem thinks "appears" is the same as "is".

Actually he doesn't. But just like his disingenuous AGW argument, so his "fine tuning" argument. He is after all, a lawyer. He is not interested in the bottom line truth, only his ideological and profitable position.

Anyone following this thread can see that the "scientists" of the group are avoiding some hard facts. There may not have been a fine tuner but the truth is it is absolutely impossible that this universe and life could have arisen simply by chance and fortutious explosions and mixing of chemicals. Something much more sophisticated, for lack of a better word, was and is needed.

No, no not true. Yesterday I was watching a pile of rocks and suddenly they turned into a watch. It was a Rolex. That Rolex created itself out of a pile of rocks with no help whatsoever.

Two objects, both traced back to forming - ultimately - via chemical reaction alone .

You know chemicals. Those things you're on, that made you see one turn into the other.

The hard fact is the universe is as sophisticated as it gets. Anywhere!
To you it only "appears" something more is needed.

Scientifically, the universe is assuredly the result of a few elementary particles and 13.77 billion years of their ensuant chemical reactions.
No more than required to be as sophisticated as it gets.
