When All Else Fails Blame "Free Markets"

No they didn't have a guaranteed number. Regardless, it's academic.

In case you missed it,,,,nearly all the dems were for it and none of the pubs. Idiot. All we needed was one or two pubs to do the right thing.

The problem with the US is the G'dam Republican'ts.

Let's review. Essentially ALL the dems were for it, and NONE of the assholes on the right were and you want to blame to blame the dems. Take your meds.

You had the house, the Senate and the Presidency. If your party wanted to pass single payer, it would have done so, regardless of what the GOP wanted. Who is off their meds again?

Yes the dems wanted single payer and the GOP did not. Good that you finally acknowledge that. If only a few Republican'ts were on board with it we could have it today. But they weren't. The dems did not have enough votes alone. There were a couple of senators that could not be counted on.

The reason we don't have single payer ? The Right.

So because a few Democrats couldn't be counted on, it's the Republicans fault. I see.

Do you ever read any of the nonsense you type?

He is right it was a few... it was obama pelosi reid liberman baucus and the rest of the leadership who sold the party out to the insurance companies.

Obama might have, and likely Pelosi too, gone along with single payer, don't know about Reid, had the votes been there to pass it. They didn't have the votes. They didn't have the votes to get the public option through either. The Democrats, are less monolithic than the Republicans but neither party is completely monolithic. Saying the Democrats (collectively) could have passed anything they wanted is as profound as saying "tomorrow, the sun will rise in the East". My point Jem is that the votes were not there within the two parties combined to pass single payer or public option, nor were they there to pass it with only democrat votes. Therefore Jem, neither party wanted single payer nor the public option. Now I could go further and say the Democrats together with the Republicans could have passed anything they wanted, but that would be self-evident, wouldn't it, I mean when you consider that the legislative branch works democratically by majority vote. So what is your point Jem? Or are you just using other words to say something as profound as "tomorrow the Sun will rise in the East"?

you can b.s. all you want about what you think Obama and pelosi secretly wanted... ... but in the end they want money and they get the money from the cronies.
why do you think Obama has all these fundraisers...

You can watch the video at this link. It will explain to you that the same team that created medicare part D... created Obamacare.

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/obamasdeal/view/

To navigate the process of health reform, President Obama turned to his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, a consummate deal maker, who helped stock the West Wing with an all-star lineup of congressional insiders. But almost immediately, a key member of the team was forced to step down, and the country's greatest champion of health reform, Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.), was sidelined with incurable brain cancer. The administration's hopes for reform rested with Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), the powerful head of the Senate Finance Committee, who also happened to be one of the Senate's top recipients of special interest money from the health care industry.

The White House encouraged Baucus to quietly negotiate deals with the insurance lobby, drug companies and other special interest groups, despite promises to run a different kind of White House. "The president said that having people at the table is better than having them throw stuff at the table," White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer tells FRONTLINE.

It's all Obama's fault. Whatever it is.

its amazing how these great leftist ideas only seem to backfire on Obama Pelosi and Reid.
it must be spin...
considering the success we have seen in cuba, venzuela, USSR, china etc.

I've forgotten. Who are the Republicans that pushed so hard for single payer and begged Obama and the Democrats to put it to a vote?

I couldn't help but seeing the idiotic comment you had quoted .... since the opposite is true!

Odumbo has never taken responsibility for any problem/issue/crisis in 6 years. It's always that he inherited it, it was Bush's fault, it's the Republicans, etc.

The drivel that comes out of this community organizer is so predictable and pathetic. I'd bet $$$ that in November the majority of citizens will offer their opinions of his garbage based on how they vote.
