It's not a hate crime. It doesn't even qualify as hate speech. The word has just become taboo in society, because of our history.

What is a racist to you? Define it. I don't think I'm a racist, but according to your definition, I might be. Is it ok to call them that? No, it's mean. Is it racist to call white people with "Blue Lives Matter" stuff "white trash"?

In your example, did the race that called them "white trash" have a history of enslaving them? Along with other atrocities?

So how is calling them that racist? Let's look at your definition. Is there prejudice? There's zero prejudging going on. He's displaying judgement on what is clearly in front of him. He is calling them that name for what they're doing there. Is there discrimination? I have no indication he is okay with the white people kneeling, but not the black people. Is there antagonism? Obviously not. He's not on a mic.
Kneeling is mostly done by black athletes and associated with black athletes for the cause of racism against blacks.4 of the 8 girls look white to me but since its associated with blacks and its mostly blacks that kneel thats what he was attacking imo.
He'll lose his job as a high school sports announcer and lose his ability to coach (if he's a coach).
It's the only way for the school district to quickly put this behind them and possibly prevent a civil lawsuit is if the school district apologize for having such an employee and then fire him.
- Going forward...if the school district doesn't do anything (not holding him accountable)...all teams should forfeit their games in protest if he's going to be announcing their games.
Something is very twisted...Asian Americans getting attack in the streets in broad daylight by people with social media history of strongly supporting Trump / Qaonn and then there's the storming of the Capitol...people dying and others scarred for life...
Trump cult can not grasp something as twisted and wrong what has been occurring for many many years...how it encourages others to think their rights to free speech is more important than the rights of others to free speech when their choice is to kneel.
- It's young women like that...they will not forget what happen and will soon one day be eligible to vote in the state of Texas. They will be able to show their power via a vote...a form of free speech.

Your question proves my point. It's about history. However, the history of what other people did doesn't make you a racist.
Calling black children f*cking n*iggers and hoping they get their asses kicked isn't active hostility or opposition? Ask your black friends,if you have any,is calling their teenage daughters f*cking n*iggers racist.
