Going to challenge conventional wisdom here, the use of the word, or any word, is overrated. It means different things to different people. To a lot of white people, it's a lot like "white trash". Not used for every black person, just the ones you don't like. Of course there are people out there who are like I would never think that word, because "I don't see race", but they're full of shit. Perhaps you remember being a kid swearing for the first time. You said "fuck" or something. It was fun to say the word, because society says we are not supposed to say it. You would get in trouble. This is a word adults aren't even allowed to use or you get in trouble if you're caught. Now being an adult, saying "fuck" is no big deal. But...there are some words there are. Basically every group that's been oppressed lately by the white straight man has a slang word you're to never utter. So saying it brings the feeling you had when you were a kid again. I think that's what makes it fun to say to certain people when they think society isn't watching.
The racists here want @Tony Stark to just 'shut up and dribble,' and to stop reporting news about what their fellow racists are doing across the country.

I'm not saying the guy isn't a racist. I don't know. For me the line for racism is very clear. It's whether or not you are against interracial relationships. If your daughter starts dating a black dude and you're like, I wish she would find a nice white guy, then you're a racist. What words you like to throw around, don't really matter. I don't think the guy should never be forever shunned by society and never be allowed to hold a decent job ever again.
