One missile strike isn't going to war, IMO. If he wants to do continuing strikes, that's a different story.

It's more convenient for them if we do the fighting and dying. Bushes and McCain only too happy to help out their buddies. So what if some naïve farm boys get their legs blown off? Tell them they were "protecting our freedoms" and they will be happy.

Exactly. I never understood the idea that airstrikes are not war. I guess we should have shrugged our shoulders on 9/11 and said, 'it is only 4 airstrikes against us, no big deal'.
So Assad is bad because he killed people with chemical bombs, allegedly. About a week ago a US airstrike killed a bunch of civilians in Mosul.
