So going into 2018 with the govt shut down and credit wrecked,the choice is keep it shut down by voting for republicans or end the shut down by voting for democrats you think republicans keep congress?

What?

A clean spending bill is a spending bill funding all sorts of government programs and projects, with no unrelated legislation attached to it. For example, trying to pass immigration law incorporated with budget legislation. That is what a clean bill means.

Trump's wall is just one program he wants funded in the budget. So, if anything, he's completely aligned with the budget legislation. It might not be a program you like, but that's irrelevant. The wall doesn't change law. It's a project to be funded.

Lots of spending programs can have their own bill. But a "clean budget bill" refers to a budget that is passed without other law enacting legislation attached to it. Putting funding for something, such as a wall, or removing funding for something, is part of the normal budgetary process and not disruptive to a clean spending bill. Now, you could argue that - in the technical sense of the word - a clean bill means funding the government as it currently exists, with nothing additional. But that has never happened in the history of governmental fiscal budgeting, and not at all what Obama meant.

No,for a few seconds due to the thought of Dems retaking both Houses of Congress in 2018 I hoped a Trump promise would come through.Than I quickly came to my senses.You idiots have been believing in Trump promises for nearly 2 years and counting.
