Tillerson Out

While you are correct that Trump is as unpopular with most foreign leaders as he is with the establishment here, that's not a problem I am worrying too much about. They will bend the knee eventually or we will just move on without them. They are all freeloading off us and if they want to let that go, fine with me.

Yup, most Americans think we can go alone and everything is going to be just fine. This is not true.

As to our allies bending the knee, don’t count on that one. We are waning under Trump.

I wonder... if we agreed to not conduct the annual war games off his coast.... would he agree to discontinue his nuke development?
Make it verifiable of course.
I'm not sure what his game is.
Its not like he has global colonization ambitions.

What if... in an ideal world....he knew his country was 100% safe....
What would he do?
He wouldn't know what to do.
Embrace capitalism?
Does he have his eyes on uniting the entire peninsula?
Is that his goal?
What does he want!?
Thats what I want to know.
Maybe he just wants a nuke ICBM.
Say he gets it....
Then whats he want?
It makes no sense to me.
His ultimate goal must be to re-unite the entire peninsula.
But he has to know that will never happen.
Hmph.
Beyond me.

Meanwhile the United States pays for the lion's share of the United Nations so that all the other countries and your ilk can bitch about how we never do anything for anyone.

Right. Many of our allies want to sit at the grown-ups table, and have a full say of what to do. Yet, they don't want to pay their fair share of the bill.
EDIT: I think we should have pulled out of the Korean peninsula years ago. We should not be at the center of this conflict.

The UN is not our ally.

Correct.

They are not on our side yet we are funding them so they can serve as a forum to work their own agendas. Thank you for making that point. They are not an ally.

Oh, but watch your ilk, go bonkers if we talk about cutting their funding.

Sometimes, they seem to act as our adversary.

We could start with NATO. Most members, including Germany and France, do not come close to spending 2% of their GDP on defense, per the treaty.

Well I got to say you are smarter than Donald Trump. However, most nato allies are on track to meet that obligation and France is close, Germany has a way to go. NATO is by far the most important alliance to global security. However, I will buttress your point that if NATO nations had been spending more, Russia wouldn’t be able to globe trot the way it does because it would have to focus on home.

So kumbaya.
