the sooner we get away from BEEF

Quote from ShoeshineBoy:

But there is no substitute for animal protein if your goal is muscle.

Why do we need animal protein to build muscle. A gorilla, an elephant is composed of far more muscle mass than any human all built exclusively from plant protein.

:D

And, of course, both gorillas and elephants have the exact same digestive systems as humans do right?

LOL

:p

Which one do you look like KTS, a gorilla or an elephant? :p

Yup. Crap.

There's so much (untrue) folk wisdom out there about diet, it's no wonder Westerners are so fat.

I have read that Easterners are getting fatter too. Too many carbs probably. :(

Hi,

I am a non-stringent vegetarian eating minimal eggs and dairy and do note that my diet makes me thin.

What I suggest (could be wrong of course):

Eat more beans and lentils

Eat more whole grains with the germ intact and fresh

Take some supplements
- Brewer's Yeast that contains vitamin B12
- Soy Lecithin granules

Send me a pm if you need to know where to order online with a discount.

Good ideas.

Well, practically speaking, the only plant-based protein powder available is soy and I would be very cautious of that if you are a male. Soy is tied to brain shrinkage and other problems for males. Better to wait about 20 years and see what the research turns up than to risk your precious grey matter. In general, phytoestrogens are very hard on the male body and soy is full of them.
