the sooner we get away from BEEF

Smaller portions and less frequent meat consumption (red meat especially), I think are the pratical way for better health. Not many people would want to or enjoy a strict vegan lifestyle. After a lifetime and culture of meat eating it is hard to follow a vegan diet. I haven't read any studies showing where eating small portions of meat several times a week are less healthy than a vegan diet, so for me it isn't worth the effort and giving up completly something I like for little or no extra benefit.

E. Coli from Chicken Causes Urinary Tract Infections

Bacteria from chicken products may be a major cause of urinary tract infections, according to a new study published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Researchers examined urine samples from women who had urinary tract infections and matched E. coli in the samples to E. coli from contaminated foods. They found that most of the E. coli was ingested through retail meat products (61 percent of which were chicken products) and ready-to-eat products (73 percent of which were meat products). The authors concluded that chicken was the main source of urinary tract infection-causing E. coli. Researchers also warned that animal product sources of E. coli might be drug-resistant which can require more costly and complicated treatments.

Saturated fat has almost twice the calories as a carb duh :D

You didn't even read the article. Since the "Saturated Fat Scare" came out, everybody went to a high carb/low fat diet. Since then, people have been getting fatter than pigs wallowing in the mud.

And they put in the food (partially hydrogenated oil{trans fat}, and high fructose corn syrup)
This is to make long shelf life, and cost less money to make the trans fat and fructose corn syrup.

No, it's the highly processed vegetables, fruits and grains that make you fat.

Fat doesn't make you fat. Meat doesn't make you fat.

Veges, fruits and grains make you fat! :D
