Special counsel is investigating President Trump for obstruction of justice, new report says

Can Mueller subpoena Trumps entire tax records?

Consider this: Many of the best prosecutors in the country are joining Mueller's team. These people are public servants and yes, they believe in the justice system, but every single one of them also has to think about managing their careers. If this prosecution were going nowhere, I don't think these people would be leaving prestigious, high-profile posts to sign up. I think many people around Trump will go down, some will go to jail, and Trump himself will be forced from office. They may not get him on collusion but I think there's some very shady stuff involving Russian money in his finances; and I think they have him on obstruction.

Mueller is a long-time Bush family retainer. He is the sort of nominal republicuck the establishment keeps around to lend an aura of bipartisanship.

I will say this again. Trump needs to fire him immediately. The investigation is based on fraud and illegal leaks by Comey. Trump needs to act while this is still fresh in people's minds. If he waits until Mueller starts prosecuting people or dragging them in front of grand juries, it will be too late.

“The spread of Russian-made fake news stories aimed at discrediting Hillary Clinton on social media is emerging as an important line of inquiry in multiple investigations into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow,” the Guardian reports.

“Investigators are looking into whether Trump supporters and far-right websites coordinated with Moscow over the release of fake news, including stories implicating Clinton in murder or pedophilia, or paid to boost those stories on Facebook.”

The Financial Times reported Thursday morning that Felix Sater, former business partner of President Donald Trump with deep ties to the Mafia and Russian government, is cooperating in an international investigation into an alleged money-laundering network. Sater has a history of channeling money from prominent families in the Eastern bloc into Trump properties. This could pose problems for Trump, given Sater’s history of outing former close associates in exchange for immunity.
