Pelosi gets assured that Trump won't be able to launch nuclear weapons without checks

Much as you or anyone else might want to, a president cannot be lawfully removed in a day, or a week, even longer. There is nothing in place which works that fast, which in the bigger picture is a good thing. Best move now would be to quit antagonizing him. If anything is to be learned from the last four years is, the more you fuck with him, the more he fucks with you.

Unless I'm mistaken the 25th takes effect as soon as The VP and Cabinet votes and gets it to Congress. Not saying thats going to happen.

Sounds like the Hulk dynamic: the madder he gets the stronger he becomes. Except it has worn off for Trump.

He needs to be impeached because what he did is impeachable, and so that he can't snakeoil (new verb) his way back into office in four years.

yup, came out maybe yesterday. Ordinarily, I'd support the move, but this is just another action to stick it to Biden. As will be conflict with Iran. But no, just wait another 2 wks

That makes zero sense..... if ordinarily you'd support the move but because Trump does it, it’s a bad thing and a “stick it” to Biden.

Either it’s a good thing or a bad thing, quit riding the fence.

One thing for sure, Beijing is pissed over this, they’ve already offered the olive branch to Biden, Beijing would love nothing more than for our two countries to revert back to a pre-Trump dynamic. So I’d guess they’ll take this, offer a public rebuke, and wait for Biden.

Watch and see if our “China Narrative” takes a 180 once Ol’ Joe takes office.

All he has to do is contest it. Then in becomes like a multi day process, and the probability of a supermajority vote is highly unlikely. Like I said, if we were months away, then a reasonable argument can be made to pursue this path. At this point, it ain't happening.
To forcibly wrest power from Trump, Vice President Mike Pence would have to be on board, according to the text of the amendment. Read the full language here. Pence would also need either a majority of Trump's Cabinet officials to agree the President is unfit for office and temporarily seize power from him.
Trump could dispute their move with a letter to Congress. Pence and the Cabinet would then have four days to dispute him, Congress would then vote -- it requires a two-thirds supermajority, usually 67 senators and 290 House members to permanently remove him.

They can start impeachment, but the best move being tossed out is for them to run it through the house and then wait until after the 20th to send it to the senate. They just don't have the time.

I agree he's not going to be removed by either the 25th or impeachment. But impeachment is still necessary imo.

Congress can sit on it for around 20 days with the president out of power as they decide

Last I heard Biden's team wants impeachment to wait until after the first 100 days are up. He's got multiple crises to attend to.

it's not riding the fence to be smart about strategy. "Hey guise let's storm that 50Cal w/sticks and stones because a Nazi's manning it. What's that, you object? Oh, you fucking fence rider."
