NRA Hijinks

So that you can poke a hole at the slightest weakness and conclude that any and all change is fruitless? Being acquainted with P&R, I'm well aware of the skew: the slightest weakness invalidates a premise other than your own.

Truth be told, I don't know how best the Amendment should be amended. I only know it is presently more destructive than constructive and is little more than a wet dream for the gun lobby that is the title of this thread. The Second Amendment is broken. You don't necessarily have to know how to fix it to know it's broken. But it would be a good starting point: the source. Because largely unfettered and unlimited legal access to guns enhances illegal access to guns.
Sooooo.....Guns bad is as far as your thought process goes?

He has no solution. He's been asked numerous times. Has no idea what to do about it. One time, he just replied "take away guns" but he has no clue if this can be accomplished or how it would be done. He'll say things like "just like Australia", even though the US's situation is completely different.

The Australians plead, "don't ever allow your government take away your guns".

The Nazis confiscated everybody's guns. Then, when everybody was defenseless, the Nazis hauled Jews out of their homes in the middle of the night and put a bullet behind their ear.

NO THANKS!!

Better solution... EVERYBODY REQUIRED TO CARRY. Then, when a perp pulls out his gun, everybody else pulls out theirs and shoots the perp full of holes. Soon, perps would learn to "think twice".

Not to mention... if everybody is armed, the government will "think twice" about their plans for oppression. (Which, of course, is the reason the Founders gave us the 2nd Amendment.)

Thank you for acknowledging there's a problem. What's your solution, aside from status quo?

My solution is to carry a firearm, because no acceptable or realistic solution has ever been presented to me by any liberal or conservative, and because I have not been able to think of any better way.

That is why i ask over and over again what FC's solution is. And why I know he will never answer.
