NRA Hijinks

Ricter and Frederick Nosight,

I am curious about something. It is my understanding that you are both Canadian citizens that currently reside in Canada. Why are you concerned about US politics? Why do you think that you are entitled to an opinion regarding US laws?

That picture isn't me, though.

So let's hear your plan to get rid of the guns. Amend the Second Amendment to what? After you change the amendment, how do you get the guns off the street?

Let's walk through it and see if your plan has merit.
So that you can poke a hole at the slightest weakness and conclude that any and all change is fruitless? Being acquainted with P&R, I'm well aware of the skew: the slightest weakness invalidates a premise other than your own.

Truth be told, I don't know how best the Amendment should be amended. I only know it is presently more destructive than constructive and is little more than a wet dream for the gun lobby that is the title of this thread. The Second Amendment is broken. You don't necessarily have to know how to fix it to know it's broken. But it would be a good starting point: the source. Because largely unfettered and unlimited legal access to guns enhances illegal access to guns.

Ok, so you have no suggestion to a solution and no thought on how to make things better. That's pretty much impotent rage to the letter.

I'm serious when I say I'd be happy to discuss your thoughts on how to make the situation better. But if you have none, then posting over and over and over again about gun violence (not you, but FC) is rather silly.

Everyone knows there is a problem - the disagreement is on what the source of that problem is.

Two people were shot and killed in a drive-by shooting yesterday in DeKalb County, GA (link). One person was shot and killed in Macon, GA last night (link). A police officer was shot and killed yesterday in Fox Lake, IL (link). A two-year-old boy was shot and killed yesterday in Pittsburgh, PA (link). One person was shot and killed and two others were shot and wounded in St Louis, MO yesterday (link). Two teenagers were shot and wounded in a drive-by shooting in Cleveland yesterday (link). On Sunday night, one man shot and killed his brother and then shot and killed himself near Opelousas, LA (link).

And what is Futurecurrents' solution to this... Take away guns from law abiding citizens so criminals can easily prey upon them.

He has no solution. He's been asked numerous times. Has no idea what to do about it. One time, he just replied "take away guns" but he has no clue if this can be accomplished or how it would be done. He'll say things like "just like Australia", even though the US's situation is completely different.
