Lawmakers Recommend Clinton, Comey, Lynch, McCabe for Criminal Referrals

Yeah, whatever ... in the realm of fantasy that "they (meaning liberals) know that certain people committed crimes" let's take a look at the news today....

(More at above url)

Yea, fantasy, it's getting close to two years, not a single indictment or even hint of a criminal investigation against the Clintons - the only referral is against Mcabe who leaked info damaging to Clintons to the WSJ. So tell me again, who is dwelling in fantasy here?

And the news today is a replica of what the DNC did when Watergate was gaining steam when they sued Nixon admin for a million in damages.

What is this “both sides” nonsense? How many indictments and plea deals have come from the Trump campaign and Russia?

You don’t get to make false equivalencies in Justice. That is exactly NOT justice.
Indictments and plea deals that have had nothing to do with Trump or Trump 'colluding' with the Russians.

Beautiful. Defendant Trump and others are entitled to do discovery and subpoena evidence and witnesses to defend themselves. Hope the DNC and Hillary and Wasserman and Podesta are up for that. Also, they will be asked to splain why they prevented the FBI from having access to their computers to look for digital fingerprints.

This also opens up the DNC to discovery where the DNC will need to provide all email communications involved with their campaigning including their collaboration & assistance from social media sites that effectively supported their party.

You sound like that council woman.

Indeed. And also brings that whole Awan scenario into play. Awan worked for Wasserman as her IT guy and had all of her passwords- including while she was DNC chair. So there is that. And then, the premise of their lawsuit is that Trump colluded with the Russians and then the Russians hacked the DNC but lots of people/countries probably did. Let us not forget that Podesta was Hillary's campaign chair and wikileaks picked up his emails from the russians who hacked his gmail account so there is another aspect of dem loose lips and lack of security contributing to their own problems. And then there is the question of whether the DNC hack was an inside job- a disgruntled Bernie supporter or something. The Clintonistas dismiss that outright but also do not have a good answer as to why the DNC definitely did not want the FBI to investigate their server.

Not sure that the rocket surgeons bringing this lawsuit have thought through whether they want to wake that sleeping dog again and have it all put under the microscope. I am definitely up for it though.

Actually it's how the civil legal discovery process works. The defendant in a suit can demand those suing them provide all collateral relevant to similar activity (campaign marketing) performed by the suing party. This opens the door for the defendants to demand all the emails from the DNC including the 35,000 missing from Hillary's server.

So DNC suing Trump admin and the Russians would force Hillary to undelete her personal emails who is not part of DNC and whose emails were never hacked? DNC's emails were already hacked, what is the new stuff they would want to see? The ones that they didn't send? Do you logic sir?

Certainly the demand would be for all the emails to be handed over and let the defense attorney's decide which are relevant. Of course, if the emails are "deleted" (they are required to be kept as government records - the "personal" excuse does not fly) then Hillary could be locked up by the judge for contempt for failing to hand over the emails. So many possible interesting scenarios. Any email sent from the DNC or its top officials are relevant to discovery in the lawsuit.

Sure, and lots of people would have those emails in addition to the Ruskies. The Israelis would definitely have them. So they could re-appear for unexpected reasons. And Julian Wiki has been in a rough spot for years now in that Salvadoran embassy. He might be in a bargaining mood. He either has them or knows who does.

And then there is the simple fact that the FBI never did a real investigation. Comey testified that he never asked the other intel agencies if they had copies even though they clearly have copies of every email from everyone. And, the FBI never even did the basic work of asking the ISP providers if they had copies.

I guess they want to go again on all these issues. Sign me up if its pay-for-view.

So Plato already addressed the faults of mob justice 2500 years ago in the Republic. There’s a dialogue in there between Socrates and Thrasemacus you may find interesting.

It is a criminal referral, not a writ of execution. DOJ has discretion to investigate and prosecute, and defendants will have the same right to jury trial that Mueller's prey do. Antithesis of mob justice.
