Well, because Comey is hurting his own credibility. He stated previously that he has never been pressured for a political reason regarding an investigation by the DOJ.

He just gave testimony that he felt pressured by DOJ for political reasons regarding an investigation.

Having a political platform doesn't make an entity not private.

NYT is not a 527 tax-exempt organization.

The NYT is a private sector for profit entity.

The DNC is a private entity organized under IRS code 527.

That is how they are different and why FBI should change protocol and have a 3rd party confirm an entities conclusion in which another conclusion has been discredited that the company relied upon to make another conclusion that is run by a Russian.
