Well that's where this whole notion of progressiveness takes a turn.
Why not make a point rather than just call a name.
Didn't anybody ever learn that the person in an argument or debate who resorts to name calling ALWAYS loses. Especially if it's JUST name calling and not a salient point to precede it?
Seems like there are some pretty damn smart people who disagree with your opinion. Not everyone, but there are clearly a few bright people who differ in opinion.

Perhaps you are a relative newcomer to this forum and are not just using a fairly new username. Yeah, let's go with that for now. If that is indeed the case, then I suggest you wait a while and see which side most of the vitriol comes from, who the usual bad actors are, and how much you would take before responding in kind. There is very little that passes for "debate" in this forum. Not quite nothing, but close to it.

Admittedly, futurecurrents is a bit ornery just now. Perhaps, in your spare time, you may wish to have a look at some post history to see the kind of tag-team treatment he had been getting from the get-go to see how we got to where we are now.

Sorry. Relabel yourself because you are NOT a Progressive based solely on this limited attitude that I've witnessed.
No actual Progressive acts this way.
I think 12 year olds who are unable to vote act this way. But no Progressive that I know.
