How can you tell when the trend is over?

But i cant tell if the down movement is a pullback or actual trend reversal that will continue moving down
And thats what im asking
Hey, big'n, have you considered entering that into a search engine?
You'd be surprised what you could learn...
Then you could return and report what you find after you do proper stats and pick your method.

...what are stats?
Well, prolly ought to search engine that too while you at it.
You not broke yet, so there's that high note.

So what makes them sell and new traders hold where they should sell?
Because personally i dont sell for one reason and its because i dont know what to look for
Im not seeing same information
I'm pretty sure we are looking at the same information. If we are looking at the same timeframe chart, we are looking at the same information.

My guess is you don't sell because you don't have a plan going into the trade or if you have a plan you are afraid of being wrong.
As a new trader i dont even know what to look for
I look at where price has been and where it's going.
I look at how smoothly price moves and at what pace.
I look at where the majority of the trades take place.
I look for abnormal price and volume activity.
And when i ask here usually bunch of braindead trolls show up and comment absolute fucking nonsense that doesnt help explain anything
I've seen your posts and usually someone has given a reasonable answer to your questions. It may not agree with your beliefs so you probably ignore it.

I can tell most of the time where the actual top of the trend is. But i cant tell if the down movement is a pullback or actual trend reversal that will continue moving down
And thats what im asking
You are way ahead of me, I have no idea where the top of the trend might be. All I can suggest is that you modify your trading plan so that you wait to enter a trade once the direction is confirmed.

knowing where the top is helps me with nothing
I cannspot changes in chart movement
So usually i have my finger on the trigger when it tops
I dont know where bottom is even though it would seem simple "the opposite of top" but its not

I pay attention to every reply but unfortunately the amount of degenerate trolls is mugh higher than useful comments so i just give up on trying to continue the topic..

Knowing where the top is only one part
Because when it tops out and eventually reverses down i sit there and watch and when i sell it almost always continues the run upwards and if i stay in the trade and "let the winners run" it runs downward instead..
So separating the pullback from reversal is what im trying to refine.

To me it was easy to spot the tops since i started looking at charts. Thats how my brain works i guess it can process that
But it cant process the retracement move

What im digging for is someone's process when looking at that specific part of chart to see how it differs from mine
Because i can tell you exactly what goes on in my head when i see tops
But right after that my brain turns off and i cant make sense of it

Whether its a bull or a bear run
What are the signs that its about to reverse?
What should i look for?
Thats one of my biggest problems is i dont know when run is over and get stuck in trades

I dont know hot to tell a trend reversal from a small pullback

Divergence
MACD cross/zero line test
oscillator extremes?
candlestick pattern (triples, doubles, single (hammer, star))

That's just pulling it randomly out of my ass...
