How can you tell when the trend is over?

Whether its a bull or a bear run
What are the signs that its about to reverse?
What should i look for?
Thats one of my biggest problems is i dont know when run is over and get stuck in trades

I dont know hot to tell a trend reversal from a small pullback

Fact is, nobody can hand you your edge.
You have to find it.
For me, I have been doing this for longer than I can remember,
But when I sit down with my wife in the eve, to watch some TV,
I always have at least my 8" Kindle Fire, to look at charts during the news.

Watch RSI (5) and MACD.
When you start to see divergences (oscillator goes one way, price goes the other)
then you are on your way.

Think in terms of PROBABILITY. If it should be trendy but it's not acting like it is, then it usually means a reversal is probable.

Trend is like a tree trunk while the pullbacks are like the branches. Even though you can cut individual branches, once the whole trunk is cut, no branch can survive.
