The NRA hired Wayne as a lobbyist and under his leadership it became a very different animal, to the point of altering US society itself.
Wayne is actually a genius in many ways. He does the work & like any church/cult leader, every weekend pressing the flesh. The megachurch pastors learned a lot from him and I'm sure he learns from them.
