According to the article, the issue was that the whole investigation was totally unwarranted = poor judgment.

but... if the WaPo or NYT were to simply say they had sources saying Comey is now being investigated. The media could then act like it was true for the next 6 months. And we could get a special counsel investigating Comey and then later the Special Counsel.
There is no evidence to suggest that Comey's leaked memo contained any classified information. There is, however, incontrovertible evidence to the contrary, which is the memo itself. There is also Comey's statement under oath.
Some email found on Hillary's computer was apparently marked "confidential" at the time it was received. This is the lowest level of classification, and without being able to show intent this is a transgression against rules that would be nearly impossible, based on precedent , to successfully prosecute. Seems your hopes for a Hillary behind bars are fading fast.
why did at least one of those organizations state or very strongly imply Trump was under criminal investigation when he was not? (The point I was making in a sarcastic manner)

Sirhan Sirhan only shot one person and look at the way he was treated! What an Outrage! New batch of Clinton emails out. In one, you can see she signed a nondisclosure agreement - showing she knew they had confidential info.
What any reasonable prosecutor should know is that a secretary of state that has signed non disclosure agreements on classified info knows what 'c' stands for and is lying through their teeth if they say they don't.
And then her common law husband meeting with the att gen. There's that, too.

I guess intent to transmit classified info means something different when you're not a democratic big wig that the deep state would like to insert into the oval office. If you're just a regular guy, it's off to jail with you.
But there's a new sherif in town.
What any reasonable prosecutor should know is that a secretary of state that has signed non disclosure agreements on classified info knows what 'c' stands for and is lying through their teeth if they say they don't.
