Hell, even Spike's not that dumb.
Don't be so sure about that.
Hell, even Spike's not that dumb.
If we are talking only for president, and not local or State, Goldwater! (I am assuming ya'll have made me at least an honorary "lefty". zdreg is convinced I'm a communist so that alone should nullify any backsliding to the right tendencies.[ I probably have misled some of you more naive ones -- but I'll give a hint to those who didn't make it past the 9th grade. Not voting for the Republican candidate does not mean a person voted for the democrat.]
The truth is I am actually a Libertarian, and so far as I can tell, the only true Libertarian in these forums. The rest of you, that is those of you who keep insisting on calling yourselves Libertarians, are not, but something else entirely. We don't have a name for you yet, but we will! I do rather resent the fact that you who are bordering on anarchy and calling yourselves "Libertarians" have corrupted the label so. Some of you are probably close to Ayn Rand Objectivists, but you certainly are NOT Libertarians.
The problem for you, is being 83% wrong. You got 1.5% right, not very good I would say.Supports many if not all of Obama policies... check
Supports the big govt give away to insurance companies known as Obamacare... check (even though you have some arguments about it not be good enough)
Supports the IRS targeting conservatives and those who support Isreal... check
Supports Iran deal even though we know nothing about it really... check
Supports the secretive trans pacific deal that gives awayc control of our country... I bet this is a check too.
Supports the sending control of the internet to some international (will be anti conservative) body... I bet this is a check too.
Generally supports more taxes over fewer taxes... check.
Supports the Federal Reserve... check
Supports big Fed Govt over states rights... check.
Libertarian? ... really why?
. Not only do I "support" (To use your word) the IRS going after conservative groups that are purely political, but claiming to be social welfare organizations, but I ALSO "support" the IRS going after Liberal, Libertarian, Communist, Socialist, Objectivist, and any other political organizations, who try to pass themselves off as social welfare organizations. I hope that is now clear to you so you won't make these silly mistakes anymore. However to be both fair to Franklin and also correct, he had an education going well beyond the 6th grade! (Probably you meant to say formal schooling, rather than education. That would be my guess.)I was going to say, what's so bad about a ninth grade education? Benjamin Franklin never even made it past the 6th grade.
oh sorry, I didn't know you made that distinction when evaluating pedigree in your peer reviewed journals and magazines and comic books. However to be both fair to Franklin and also correct, he had an education going well beyond the 6th grade! (Probably you meant to say formal schooling, rather than education. That would be my guess.)
We don't distinguish. Nor should we. That's the point. You are educated, or you are not. How you got there isn't important. Whether you got there is!oh sorry, I didn't know you made that distinction when evaluating pedigree in your peer reviewed journals and magazines and comic books.
To update that expression by precisely two centuries would you say, "it's gonna be her 'swiftboat'?"Clinton Allies: This email thing is gonna be her Waterloo

The only one you got 100% right was "supports the Federal Reserve", though your words are poorly chosen. (Not only do I support the Fed but I consider their policy decisions and implementation during the 2007-9 crisis to be nothing short of genius!)
You got, "Supports the IRS targeting conservatives and those who support Isreal" half right (and you misspelled Israel). Another thing, what is this silly Israel business about. Is that something I should know about, or is it another of your "creature from Jekyll Island" sci-fi fantasies.
The reason you are 100% wrong about my position with regard to the "Iran Deal" is that I do know the details. You obviously don't. And you quite obviously haven't taken any time to learn about it other than perhaps watching a You Tube Video of Benjamin Netanyahu. Grow up Jem!
I am very strongly in favor of the Iran deal. I consider it a magnificent diplomatic achievement. It is likely the single best achievement of the Obama Presidency! I certainly know far more about its details than those Republican congressmen knew when they opposed it well before the ink was dry!!! I don't know anything about that business with the IRS and Israel's supporters. I'll assume you know what you are talking about. You've got my point at least. The IRS should go after all those fake social welfare organizations EVENLY. The U.S. income tax code is horrible! But as long as we are stuck with it I want it to be enforced, evenly, and correctly. You'll have to explain the Justice Roberts stuff. I did not understand what you were alluding to.well you did get the typo correct.
The IRS should not be going after anyone in an uneven manner. But, even worse, is that you are trying "Justice Roberts" their intent into something more palatable. This is a very dangerous pre fascist way of thinking. Supporting Govt oppression over freedom of speech and association is anti liberty... and anathema to a true libertarian.
The Isreal thing is not silly... many pro Isreal groups claimed they were targeted by the IRS.
did they not explain that to you in pro publica?
And, you do support the Iran deal. That was the point.
That you think you know all the terms is a side point and seems to be a manifestation of the leftist messiah complex we see from many of the leftists in the media.
