A message to some day traders.

so no one can make money..... so everyone loses.....and money disappears into thin air.....

are you kidding me

this is a zero sum game.

yes most people lose

but most people lose in everything all activities..........

if everyone succeeds then no one is succeeding

A better frame of reference would be the use of anticipation.

Yes - anticipate the bears would be swarming to short this index as price had broken below the 3 1/2 year up trend line. Entered a small position on the right shoulder support.

When price & volume confirmed the breakout from the congested zone above 11146 added on size. Still a lot more upside potential. Those that know how to use charts & have sound risk mgmt have a distinct advantage over the bewildered heard.

Yikes, once again jumping to conclusions and strawmanning.

What do you mean “no one can make money” who said that?

What do you mean “everyone loses”, who said that?

What do you mean it is a zero sum game. No it isn’t. But can be. But generally isn’t.

Who are you even talking to?

You have yet to cease to amaze me. Are you guys...high? Did you know smoking marijuana and the subsequent increase in dopamine levels make you more susceptible to seeing patterns in the clouds?

I accidentally hit the keyboard - ooops.

With forecasting you are looking at new data constantly as it is received & will adjust accordingly (dynamic).

When you predict you are attempting to make a static guess as to what will happen in the future.

I sure never use the term forecast & here again don't know of any serious practitioner of classic TA that does. Although that term 'forecasting' does appear in some TA books.

A lot of retail traders do make predictions - I sure don't.

You do, you just have yet to realize it. I'm laying in bed, dumbfounded.

CNBC has a handful of "forecasters" on air confirming and denying price action - lol.

The verb is more applicable to trading than the noun.

Anticipate as applied to trading is to plan your trade in advance - for example a congested zone with a recent bull trap is ripe for a plunge on a breakout from the lower boundary.

You plan your trade in advance - if price moves through your anticipated level with adequate momentum that is your confirmation. Welcome to professional trading 101 - this is how it is done. Class is over for now.

What makes you believe it is ripe for a plunge? Backtesting confirmed this so you predict such circumstances will continue to occur in the future?

Oh yeah Goldman's trading desk runs this strategy daily, they're up ... wait they're not up, they know they'd be DOWN deploying this pseudo nonsense over the long run.

Fortunately for you, smart money is busy doing other things and you can make hundreds of thousands, if not millions.. in fact, i'm sure you have made millions using this verryyyy reliable trading strategy that everyone and their mother, father, sister, brother know of.

Edit: You need a black-box like RenTec, right now it's a see-through box.
