He hasn't actually read the book of Jewish fairytales because he does not know that it has not always belonged to their tradition. The idea of a "them" is being generous but split between Israel and Judah and one could say they managed to stay around the area as a dominant culture for near a thousand years. Longer under other dominant civilisations. Bearing in mind however that the oldest human remains, a bone, was found there in the Jordan valley and dated to 1.5 million years ago.
The longest period of time that the Jewish people had complete administrative control over their own affairs in Israel was during the Hasmonean dynasty, which lasted from 140 BCE to 37 BCE. During this time, the Jewish people were able to establish an independent Jewish state and expand its borders. However, the Hasmonean dynasty came to an end when the Roman Empire conquered Judea in 63 BCE.
So not that long really to claim the area as theirs being it was shared like a hotel pool lounger not withstanding the claims to have left a towel on it.

Hamas is nothing more than wholesale terrorists... it is time that Israel eliminated their rule of Gaza and paved the path to the restoration of the Palestinian National Authority -- the rightful governing entity to take back over. This is the first necessary step to restoring peace in the region.
There should be no sympathy for terrorists... and any U.S. politician such as AOC and her squad that issue statements not supporting Israel to stop this terrorism (which is our official government policy) should be held accountable for their statements.

At least 260 bodies have been found at the site of an Israeli music festival following Saturday's attack by Hamas, according to Israeli rescue service Zaka.
Hamas gunmen shot at fleeing attendees and took others hostage at the festival in a rural farmland area near the Gaza-Israel border, according to social media videos and accounts from festivalgoers.
The terrifying attack was just one of multiple locations hit on Saturday morning by the most sustained and coordinated assault inside Israel ever carried out by Hamas, the Palestinian militant group designated as a terror organization by the United States, European Union and Israel.
The outdoor Nova Festival event was supposed to be an all-night dance party, celebrating the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

Unfortunately and I do mean this, everybody at the festival, well 72 percent or so are or were IDF. The rest doing some other social work as national service. Hamas would only see them as soldiers to be eliminated.
I guess Hezbollah in Lebanon were not told as they are reacting slowly but they will step thing up in support.

Where do you get information that 72% of them were IDF? I am am not seeing any citation of this in the news.
I assume that you mean active IDF --- since Israel has required military service, it means that many people previously have served in the IDF.
If previously serving in the IDF means that you are a "soldier to be eliminated" then this means that nearly every civilian in Israel is somehow a "solder to be eliminated" according to this line of reasoning.
