Why is the forum slow?

Usually very fast but this past week has been extremely slow for me...anyone else ? full page can take minutes to load.

Yep...Very slow.

Painfully slow to load the main forum page (set as my home page), however, once inside a thread (ie: ES journal) it gets a bit quicker. I am also having a problem with encoding on this site only, such as apostrophes appearing as small squares.

I've only had problems once in the past few months with the speed and access of the site...it happened today about 2 hours ago. Yet, back to normal (no problems with the speed and access) at the time of this message post.

slow to load..hangs up..

how many times we need to tell you?

Baron, it seems when making a new post, sometimes the website is very slow.
Please give it a boost.
