Quote from alfonso:
"I'm afraid" is a figure of speech, Optional. I'm not actually fearful (nor ashamed), I just prefer not to state where I live.
I'm not sure what you were attempting to imply by the German immigrants comment, but I can assure you that the chances of YOU being a German immigrant (why the italics?), given that you live in the United States, are far higher than mine.
This all beside the point, anyway.
If you want to play these pre-teen games, find someone else.
My nationality and where I live have no bearing at all on my opinions on this matter. (As much as you might like to believe otherwise.)
Could you tell us why you prefer not to divulge where you live? Such mystery from one who only seeks full disclosure.
I am not asking where specifically, but what country.
p.s. my chances of being descended from German immigrants post WWII is not very high actually.
All joking aside, I understand your point Mondo, but the issue is possibilities. Think about this... if Iran were where Mexico is, would we allow that Democracy to exist, or would we have invaded by now so we'd be comfortable? Iran has evolved into a democracy over the past 24 years because the people willed it. It doesn't always take military action to create democracies. On the contrary, they usually form out of popular support for self-determination coupled with a revolutionary act from within.
