that's not how "herd immunity" works. You don't get herd immunity by socializing. You get it by either getting ill & recovering or getting vaccinated. Now, sure, I can buy the 1st argument, but not for a NOVEL virus that sends 20% of people to the ICU.
That only works when our cases are on a downtrend or until we ramp up healthcare capacity....then you can try your metered social experiment. Not on its way up to peak cases where you'll end up on a death panel.
