you only build herd immunity by innoculation and/or recoveries. You don't "pass on immunity" to people who can still get it (your argument on response to Australia post). Just stop already

that's not how "herd immunity" works. You don't get herd immunity by socializing. You get it by either getting ill & recovering or getting vaccinated. Now, sure, I can buy the 1st argument, but not for a NOVEL virus that sends 20% of people to the ICU.

That only works when our cases are on a downtrend or until we ramp up healthcare capacity....then you can try your metered social experiment. Not on its way up to peak cases where you'll end up on a death panel.
