Again w/the assumptions. I haven't read the bill, but I very much doubt someone strapped for cash was having "lavish funerals" w/the hopes uncle Sam would pick up the tab. The dead don't care about the debt they're leaving their loved ones, so this money is very much going to the alive.I think if people can't afford funerals then they should be taken care of in the cheapest way possible. Pandemic or not, all of those people were going to die eventually. Everybody does. It's nobody's right to have a lavish funeral. Charities/churches can step up if they wish. I'd rather that money go towards people alive who need it rather than to mourning the dead.
