What ISIS Really Wants

As I said, it has nothing to do with religion; it has to do with power. Religion is simply a rationalization. If you want to believe that the conflicts suddenly changed rationale during the Crusades to make them all about religion, that's up to you. But it's stupid.

And, yes, the Persian Empire predated Alexander, but he conquered it and split it up, just like France and England split up the Ottoman Empire after WWI.

Greco-Persian, Alexander wars were all about political expansion. Islamic expansion leading up to the Crusades was totally religious in nature by installing Caliphates.

Installing a Caliphate is exactly what ISIS is trying to attempt and the reason for the current crisis. This has everything to do with religion.

So you understand a "Caliphate" is a theocracy with a Islamic Caliph as Ruler and Islam as the only religion.

Again, it's not about religion; it's about power. Religion is only a rationalization. If you have to believe the religion scenario, go ahead. But it leads to a worldview that is wildly inaccurate. Which is why you people keep getting it wrong.
