No, AA are racial quotas. That NO MATTER WHAT, a certain portion of non whites must be admitted/hired to a certain university or company. In fact some companies and universities are given bonuses for surpassing those quotas. That's right- BONUSES for whomever discriminates against white people MORE.
So THEN what happened, was that they started criticizing schools because the non whites were scoring lower than the whites proclaiming that this was also due to some evil, sweeping racism. So then they lowered the grading standards for EVERYONE so that more non whites could pass. These racial discrimination policies have no only hurt whites, who are discriminated against directly, but hurt EVERYONE by lowering the standards of the system itself. Not only that, now banks have been required to lend to certain amounts of minorities etc. Loans based on race, rather than credit worthiness. This of course fucks things up for everyone because the SYSTEM suffers, rates and criteria increase for EVERYONE because non whites get special treatment, and the system has to suffer the costs of that.
What is AA if not anti white discrimination? That's exactly what it is, which you just said you support. So, you support racial discrimination against white people. If you really wanted to be fair, why not ban any consideration of race in terms of public universities or government jobs (and of course from private companies and universities)? Why not allow the job or admission to go to the best qualified regardless of race? How does AA "have it's place" in allowing the most qualified in? If you think AA "had it's place" then you somehow think race is part of a qualification.
I can not, by any objective measure, be considered "racist". If I post quantitative facts, they are quantitative facts. If I am racist, then facts are also "racist". Cumulative social data on blacks is not the "black underclass", it's the black average.
I'll be looking forward to your thorough response after your next bed pan changing. Thank you.

Quote from RCG Trader:
Certainly. AA had is place. When there was active educational discrimination AA was necessary. Original AA was meant to force higher education to consider QUALIFIED applicants for entry. Then something happened, they just started counting bodies. Now if you let someone into MIT who is black, but has a 2.5 gpa, you are doing her a disservice, because she will not be able go get out. As someone who could compete at that level, it follows me to this day that the transformation of AA occurred. They assume that I am an RN because someone needed to fill some numbers. It doesn't take long for them to realize that the transition from engineering to nursing was like playing hopscotch for me, but it is still inconvenient. I am critical of people of criticize Obama because even if he got in thru AA, he graduated, Magna, at that.
You Artful, you the quintessential example of someone who says that they are not racist, but every stat you post has something to do with the black underclass. So, I think, as Shakespeare says, thou doest protest too much![]()
