What Eurex Does Not Tell The Traders

are you done wining around little boy? Nobody is selling your address or social security id. What they are selling is completely legit and does not even come close to a breach of any privacy. In fact Eurex does not even have your name nor other personal information, your broker is facing Eurex NOT you. ET is harboring ever more ludicrous people...

Your trading history ???

The data is nothing more than the top of the order book (Level 1).

Best bid with size, best offer with size and time and sales.

Big deal, just a standard data set.
 
Perhaps you aren't a very good trader and that's why you are having so much trouble.

Anyways, nobody cares about your 2 lot print. You have to change with the times or get out.

yes very sorry i do apologise.

im completely wrong.

eurex does not sell any data to algo companies.

the algo companies do not pay the fees for this because the information as you all pointed out is useless.

they do not sell any information related to the historical order book or make up of the order book.

none of that information would involve any of my 2 lots as you quite correctly pointed out.

the fact that 97% of all trading on eurex is by algos is down to good trading of their own back and involves no order book scrutiny.

oh hang on a second whats this ive just stumbled across.

Hey I am as anti Algo as the next man, but I cant see your gripe with this. All I can see is a standard time and sales file that is enhanced with the order book updates. I can see no mention of trade id or originator. If you have downloaded the sample file and managed to pull out trade data by user i.d. then please post it here and we will all be able to see where your coming from with this.

i think you guys are genuinely naive.

renaissance trading are experts in breaking down data and with heavy computing can work out the players and trade styles and size of most markets within days.

when you change your style they will adapt in minutes.

they pay fortunes for order book history.

why do you think they pay for it.

if its useless information.

why bother.

that alone tells you there is something valuable in the information.

IF ITS WORTHLESS AND OF NO USE WHY ARE EUREX SELLING AND WHY ARE THEY BUYING IT.
 
Any Algo company worth anything can just record the data straight from the market feed as it comes in. You could do it yourself without buying anything from Eurex.

Selling the data actually levels the playing field for the smaller companies that don't have the resources to record on their own.

And if someone can figure out what I'm doing based on watching the entire order book... please let me know. Half the time I don't.
