‘We are sorry’: Hillsong apologises for Brian Houston conduct breach

The way I understand it is that technical analysis is all based on trying to find repeating patterns. If you can find something that most of the time works, then trading it should work most of the time. Nobody can really predict the future, but knowing repeating patterns that happened in the past can help to find those patterns in the future. Repetition in a regularly occurring manner is the best!
Past performance is no guarantee of future performance. And I know what you are saying, it leans toward probabilities which is correct.
What I've found, long term lookback on support and resistance works, but usually you will discover they are often just round numbers.
In stock trading I only concentrate for price analysis clues, back the last few days, like a month max, but usually 5-10 days. The last few days can give a heads up on the next few days ahead.

So, when you have personally experienced answers to your prayers, or seen answers to others' prayers, was that when you, and they, were praying to the God of the Bible, like way back when you believed in Him?

What about since that time? Are you still getting answers to your prayers sometimes when you are praying to ????? I don't know how you describe your god....is it something like "the unknown God" that you address your prayers to? Are you getting the same rate of answered prayers?

I am curious, but not trying to pry, so don't answer unless you want to.
Will reply later, mkt open here.

I can recall years ago a work collegue told of his wife dying of cancer.
I said nothing but decided to fast and pray for 3 days about it, I didn't know this woman, never met her.
Anyhow just prior to her death she became a christian which surprised me as he wasn't a christian. I never went to the funeral but it was in a church somewhere and apparently from what I was told it was a happy funeral.

Prayer may work, but I've heard lots of horror stories of christians going through a lot of terror and pain too, including nasty accidents.

These days I dont think too much about praying, we make our own luck, good or bad frequently.

I think maybe our minds pray for us.
Today I mentioned how one of my penny stocks went belly up to the tune of $12k. Well no big deal, I'm seasoned to huge swings as I don't trade pocket money, but coincidently today thanks largely to my gold holdings among other stuff I trade, I was up only $500 short of $12k at close. Prayer? Don't think so as it never entered my mind to pray because as mentioned was no big deal, but when I told wifey her mouth dropped until I told her I made it back again in the same day bar the 500 smackers. :)

Prolly everyone prays at times maybe, but as for results, prolly 50/50.

That's easy. How about a creator who created those rocks and mountain formations that some minions now labor a life time over dating them. What amazes me much more is how someone can believe in a big bang but can't even come up with some crazy idea how molecules were set in motion and by what energy source that would eventually collide to cause such big bang. Believing in the nothing from the beginning is the most utopian and unscientific mindset there can be.

How about the fact that according to the Torah (Old Testament to people here how don't know Jewry), the earth was created ~5700 years ago. Care to square that error away?

Go on, explain it in scientific terms.

If you dare to, everything out your your mouth is BS, which means that everything in the Bible is BS, because...science.

How does the Bible explain Breaking Bad?

You are all over the landscape with your inquisitive trick questions. You forgot one : how could it be light when God created the sun after it was light?

Did you order yourself the newest book "100 God denial questions"? How about sticking with one issue before sailing onto the next. So what's so hard to believe that if there is an all powerful creator that he can speak stones that appear millions of years old, into existence into a world that might only be thousands of years old. If you refute the idea of an all powerful God then there is nothing to discuss and I respectfully bow out of this exchange.

So if the Bible is based on the Torah, which is called the first five books of the Bible, written by Jews, how can Job be written before it? Who wrote the book of Job if it was not written by Jews? Was Job a Zoroastrian or something?

And your big bang THEORY is a fact?

Asking other people to answer how they know when you have no coherent answer but only a blind unthinking religious belief is at best disingenuous of you.

Christian doctrine/dogma, has it that father, son and holy ghost are all the same entity.
Might I suggest to keep up with the times, surely 'GOD' is now going to prefer being recognized by the pronoun They and not Him. :sneaky:

That is a lot of whitewash of wrong done by fervent Christians right there. I go to a church where there are some self proclaimed Christians who absolutely hate indigenous people and use every opportunity to denigrate them purely based on their ethnic background. We have to stop putting everyone into two camps. Each person is different. Many who call themselves Christian and even go to church every Sunday won't be saved for sure, though that is for God alone to judge, at least their entire belief system and conduct contradict biblical principles and the teachings of Jesus.

Yes, if people are brainwashed, I think I can see that they would have a worse outcome. I've also known some very angry people who were churchgoers and they were also very vocal and opinionated about their beliefs. Come to think of it though, I can't remember anyone being truly cruel, like beating a dog, that I've know that seemed like a faithful Christian. Could be I just don't hang around with people like that, but I'm sure they probably exist in churches and in social groups and every part of society.

HOWEVER, since most Christians aren't brainwashed, but believers of truth and having fellowship with God, they generally have a lot of happiness from their relationship with God and that filters over into other areas of life, like being kind to their kids and animals. I've personally had a lot of kindness shown to me from people in various churches. There are definitely some who are not kind though. I would say this tends to be true everywhere, there are kind people and unkind people outside of churches too. And I don't generally lump people into groups like good and bad. We are what we are. I know someone (not a believer) who has done some criminal deeds in the past and I suspect the present too but he also has some good qualities. I won't trust him around my things, since he has a history of theft. Just trying to make the point that good and bad qualities vary in each person. We all need JESUS!

Why am I on Elite Trader during the premarket? Just another emotionally based decision instead of sticking to rules. I really need to work on being more disciplined in life.

Hi! Welcome to the religious trading forum that is mostly run by haters of the God of the Bible!

Looks like you are a fellow believer, so I hope you can join me in proclaiming God's light in a dark place.:)
