After reading your post I immediately logged in my paper account but it is still rejecting futures orders with the same message "Commodity segment does not exist"...

Is your account IE?

Did you need to change any settings or something?

My paper account is also (FINNALY) accepting Futures orders today. It took "only" 3 weeks...

I hope everything else is working well too.

it seems that the IB has increased the intraday initel margin for the FDAX to 30,387 euros. The margin for the FDAXM is therefore 6077 euros
I don't know since when they did this.
maybe it has to do with the move to IE
I have traded the MINI FDAX in my accounts paper and active, both work perfectly
I tried to call but nobody answers the phone 0041-41-726-9500
however, I don't know what this means in turn

That's correct, it shows the same in my account.

I thought I had a margin account

You can check if your account is "Cash" or "Margin".

Go to "Account Management / Account Settings / Account Type":

If your account is currently set up as "Cash", choose "Margin" and follow the steps to set it up as a "Margin Account".

Once you have the account set up as a "Margin Account", you will have much more "Buying Power" for stocks than in the previous UK account.

It will not change the FDAX margin requirements, though...

I have just tested to place an order on GC (Gold Futures) and I get this message:

"It does not comply with our order handling rules for derivatives that result in physical delivery. Please refer to our web site for further details".

So, more problems...

Just tested again and it is just happening with "GC Feb24'21".

No problems with the next expiration or Silver products.

Are you experiencing the same issues?

I get the same error on both "GC Feb 21" and "GC Apr 21".
Have not tested Silver Futures.
But Index futures like NQ, ES, YM, RTY are working.. like the oil (CL).
