But there already is significant vetting! It takes years for a person from the Middle East to get a visa to come here. Think about it. You think that anyone from Syria can just get on a plane and come here. And if they could, why aren't there more attacks?

Of Islamic terrorism as white supremism in the last 16 years. why is there no vetting or whites to ensure they aren't a threat; and why were white supremist groups taken off the terror watchlist under trump? The total killed is about 200 people. Of the hundred killed in the name of Islamic terrorism, about 50 were killed at the gay nightclub in Orlando. It's unclear if that was actually a homophobic hate crime vs an "Islamic" one. But given that the assailant was Muslim the government is categorizing it as "Islamic" which is probably reasonable.
So why the bias towards Muslim refugees while ignoring all the murders done by white supremists?
Total bullshit that it takes "years" for a person from the middle east to get here. Total. Bullshit. I have a Jordanian friend who just brought over his brother for a vacation. His brother holds Jordanian and Egyptian citizenship. The trip was planned two months ago. I was stunned when he explained it (incidentally he is also against proper vetting). There are numerous individuals living in the middle east with dual citizenship (it is not hard to get) where they can use passports from a country that is not on the list to sneak in. Only proper vetting would nab these folks. Asking "Why aren't there more attacks" is a fruitless exercise. How many would it take before you agreed there was a problem? Many of us see a problem now, because we see that there have been attacks.
First, please provide the statistics showing white supremacist killings and those of Islamic terrorist killings so that I may confirm what you are saying is, in any way, based in reality.
Second, the "vetting" for people already in this country is - as you correctly stated - much harder and more unreliable than when they are not in this country. That is the entire point of the travel ban.
Third, if there was a country known to be a breeding ground for "white supremacist terrorists" and they were sending people out to kill others in other countries, I'm sure there'd be a travel ban on that country as well. Unfortunately for your argument, there is no such country.
Lastly, which "white supremacist" groups were taken off the terror watch list under Trump? Make sure that you're not using the very sketchy list used by the Southern Poverty Law Center, as that list is a downright joke.

Two months to get a visa is a long time. And a lot of Muslim's have their visa's denied (a lot of everyone has their visa's denied). To contrast, my friend's father (an Indian citizen) got his tourism visa in 5 days.

Ok so he wants the resources and funds to focus on where the priority of issues is arising. Seems like smart business sense to me.
Some get theirs denied, some don't. This doesn't mean anything in the scope of the argument other than there is some reason some folks get denied. People get denied for all sorts of reasons that have nothing to do with vetting. And two months to get a visa may be long, but it's not the years you said it was.
The GAO report you reference as backup is, itself, using another database provided by the University of Maryland and is, conveniently, omitted from both the article and the study. So there's no way of knowing what is classified as "far right wing violet extremists". One racist crazy person who decides to get it in his head to kill a member of another race isn't a "far right wing extremist". And a "Far right wing extremist" isn't necessarily a "White Supremacist" like you claimed. Far Right wing extremists have problems with bankers, government, (like the Bundy standoff which I'm guessing was included in this but in reality has nothing to do with terrorism outside of being labeled as such by a partisan group). So again, I call horseshit. Should we go dig up all incidents of black people shooting, torturing, etc whites and call it "left wing extremism"? Of course not. It's stupid assholes who need to get thrown in jail.

It's hard to make a gaffe repeatedly on something that is clearly factual. These aren't esoteric facts or politicians being ambushed with questions. They border prepared statements.

Absolutely, they should be going after all criminals. But that's where the complexities and nuance start to become important. They should go after ALL terrorists and ALL criminals. His focus is only on one kind - and this isn't supported by any statistics.
You can argue the nuances of a study that you didn't conduct nor read. But you can't argue that the statistics show that foreign terrorism in the USA has not been a significant issue since 9/11. Same (I would argue) with other forms of extremism. There are more important issues to focus on. But this administration has chosen to focus on this because it riles up the base to talk about race relations. And Bannon (back to the original point) wants this discord to continue.
If you agree with Trump and Bannon on this race issue, you should read a book: "The Camp of the Saints." I have not read it, but I have read summaries of it. He has repeatedly described the state of the world in the context of this book.

Trump reached out to Trudeau on the attack to express his condolences. People seem pretty pissed off that he didn't "tweet' about it, and that, I guess is what makes him racist. You seem pretty convinced he's a racist. Liberals like yourself are quick to label anything you don't like as racist, it's pretty much their modus operandi.
Did the FBI stop going after other criminals? Do law enforcement agencies have a directive to stop arresting anyone non-muslim that is a potential threat? Or are resources just being funneled to groups based on threat level? Seems like the latter to me, unless you have some Justice Department memo I've not seen.

Why should I read it? It's not that I agree with Trump and Bannon on this race issue. It's that I don't think this is a race issue in the first place. I think it's smart border protection. So do millions of Americans (the majority on this topic) who are in agreement.
