Trump won’t definitively say he still backs Bannon

Washington’s rumor mill is working overtime on the fate of aide Steve Bannon, who is said to be at the center of the rampant White House in-fighting. When I asked the President Tuesday afternoon if he still has confidence in Bannon, who took over the campaign in mid-August, I did not get a definitive yes.

“I like Steve, but you have to remember he was not involved in my campaign until very late,” Trump said. “I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didn’t know Steve. I’m my own strategist and it wasn’t like I was going to change strategies because I was facing crooked Hillary.”

He ended by saying, “Steve is a good guy, but I told them to straighten it out or I will.”

He's the worst part of the trump administration.

There's hope if he is gone. We might even see trump become the real democrat he had been for so long.

I don't like Bannon either but relying on Jarad and Ivanka as his main advisers is just as scary imo.

There are much better ways to deal with your fear than voting for a democrat. It gets expensive for the rest of us when you use government as your personal shrink. Are democrats born scared or do they learn it in college?

The worst part of the Trump Administration is Trump, Jeff Sessions is the second worst, DeVos and Price are in a tie for third worst, and Wilbur Ross is fourth worst. Bannon is an also ran. He is going to be sidelined, but those others are going to do serious harm.

Bannon is the worst because he's actively looking to start a race war. He was the architect of the first Muslim Ban and he's been at the center of a lot of Trump's more inflammatory policies. And until recently he's been a center of influence in the administration.

DeVos is a problem as she's incompetent and while education is important, her influence is isolated to that.

Sessions is an ideological thing - typical American politics. That's resolvable through normal political discourse.

Wilbur Ross is probably a better choice for Secy of Commerce than Tillerson for Secy of State.

Bannon is looking to start a race war? Is this the same race war Obama brought about? Or a different one?

He actually has said that there is a war brewing between Islam and Christianity. And it seems like he's actively pushing the agenda - thus a "Muslim ban" instead of something else.

He has also said there are too many Asian CEO's in tech and that a "society is more than just its economy."

Most of his agenda is actually founded in racism.

I don't know what race war Obama was trying to start. Maybe the one where unarmed blacks didn't want to be shot at by police officers.
