Trump Makes First Big Mistake

I couldn't agree more. The problem is, .... how its run.

They have NO common sense. I've seen it firsthand. They trip over piss-ants whilst elephants stampede. Nobody wants poisoned water. But we have it don't we?

They don't do their jobs at all. Its a bureaucratic mess. It needs to be totally torn down and rebuilt from the ground up. You can't convince me otherwise. Until you've seen what they can do first hand, you'll never understand. But trust me, they need a frame-off restoration.

And Achilles, I enjoy reading your posts, but if you don't think the EPA has wrought damage on small business, you are badly mistaken.

I trust what you say. Many other credible individuals echo the same.

From what I can tell, the EPA is more a regulatory-weapon used by Corporate America to punish their smaller incumbents. It's always the way. Same with finance and Wallstreet. With great tragedy, the regulations and laws intended to protect Americans were hijacked by Fortune 500 long ago and have very little benefit in todays world. Except making the elite richer, and us the little people, very sick.

It's a sick system and has to change. But there has to be protections for clean food, air and water. This is where the Libertarians fall down. I don't know what the solution is. Regulations allow the camels nose under the tent. But clearly we can't allow lead, mercury, chemicals etc in the food/water supply. What to do?

Free market capitalism did not destroy the middle class. Government overreach did. More government overreach will not correct the problem.
You and will never agree on this. Tariffs, currency manipulation and subsidies built Japan and China. To say tariffs won't work for us, is fool hardy and ignores reality.

Yes, punitive regulation and taxation chased millions of factory jobs overseas. Trump is coming to gut the onerous regulations and taxes that are killing American manufacturers.

Can you tell me that's a good thing?

Why don't we just make this shit illegal?

Easy.

Make heavy metal content in the water >x.xxx illegal, punishable by personal fine and imprisonment etc. Applies to everyone.

What's the point of a regulation? Why not a law?
