Don't quite know how to take that given our somewhat testy history, but yes, it is kind of sad. We all should be able to have some fluidity in our politics, and that's become extremely difficult to do. I think that's do to the, are you really going to sit there and judge my choice and your guy has a ton of shit in his game thought process.(comment not directed at you specifically).
It's like when Bill Clinton went through his drama. It was the era of the moral majority. Newt is cheating on his wife, one "man of God" after another is getting "massages" and screwing around and they're going to pass judgment on Clinton? Yeah, he lied about it. No shit, what guy isn't going to lie about that? He sullied the Oval Office. Hey, if I'm prez and can get a BJ in the Oval I'm dropping trou. Isn't anyone coming clean on that until the bitter end. So his supporters got pissed and took the position, screw you all, I don't care what my guy does from here on out, yours are no better. Fast forward through all the subsequent years, each party completely full of shit and disingenuous to the max, and here we are with Trump. People supporting Trump are now in the same mindset, you assholes are going to judge my guy? Really, I mean really? And now it's just a middle finger to everyone. Yeah, my guy is dirty as hell, soon as you come up with one that isn't, or at least isn't a fucking lunatic I'll take notice. Until then...well, we know where we're at. Again, I'm not directing this specifically at you, just a broad generalization of politics as I see it today, and yes, it's sad as hell.
