Treyvon Martin issue is starting to irritate the hell out of me

"..... a criminal trial is not "a search for truth." Scientists search for truth. Philosophers search for morality. A criminal trial searches for only one result: proof beyond a reasonable doubt."

Leo Max Frank (April 17, 1884 – August 17, 1915) was a Jewish-American factory superintendent whose hanging in 1915 by a lynch mob, planned and led by prominent citizens in Marietta, Georgia, drew attention to antisemitism in the United States.[3]

The superintendent of the National Pencil Company in Atlanta, Frank was convicted on August 26, 1913, of the murder of one of his factory workers, 13-year-old Mary Phagan.

There was jubilation in the streets when Frank was found guilty and sentenced to death. By June 1915 his appeals had failed, but Governor John M. Slaton believed there had been a miscarriage of justice, and commuted the sentence to life imprisonment—to great local outrage. A crowd of 1,200 marched on Slaton's home in protest, and two months later Frank was kidnapped from prison by a lynch mob of 25 armed men who called themselves "Knights of Mary Phagan." Frank was driven 150 miles to Frey's Gin, near Phagan's home in Marietta, and murdered. A crowd gathered after the hanging; one man repeatedly stomped on Frank's face, while others took photographs, pieces of his nightshirt, and bits of the rope to sell as souvenirs.[5]

On March 11, 1986, the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles granted Frank a pardon, citing the state's failure to protect him or prosecute his killers, though they stopped short of exonerating him. The names of Frank's murderers were well-known locally but were not made public until January 7, 2000, when Stephen Goldfarb, an Atlanta librarian and former history professor, published the Phagan-Kean[6] list on his website. The Washington Post writes that it includes several prominent citizens—a former governor, the son of a senator, a Methodist minister, a state legislator, and a former state Superior Court judge—their names matching those on Marietta's street signs, office buildings, shopping centers, and law offices today.[7]

This may be a good time to mention that the lynching of Leo Frank was carried out by Democratic leaders and KKK members.

From 1865 to 1950 in the South, the Democratic party was aligned with the KKK and focussed on oppressing blacks. The Republican party was the part of the reconstruction and enabled blacks to vote & hold office. The Republicans were viewed by the Southerners as "Yankee carpetbaggers".

The Democratic party in the South used violence to oppress blacks and get their way. One good example of this was the Wilmington Massacre of 1898 where Democrats chased elected blacks and Republicans out of Wilmington, North Carolina - killing many.

No sense in me trying to convince you.

Obama is taking ownership of this and I'll be pleased when it blows up in his face and contributes to his defeat in November.

Maybe we'll see some riots as well. Suits me as it will be a source of entertainment. Its not like I have any reason to be concerned since i am well equiped for such events.

Let me help you by outlining the problem with Obama's defeat in November...

I will tell you my example from what I hear from the police officer in my city. He is talking to me and telling me to be safe. He tell me "Stay away from the niggers" This is police officer. So I know no every police officer think like this, but is real.

I was in a National Guard outfit with a lot of LAPD guys, half of them just talked like racists. I don't think they were particularly, it was just that's what their day consisted of, arresting Blacks in Los Angeles..

Democrats are DOA without that black vote, literally out of business. They have to keep that voting ratio above the 90% level. This is their big moment in the sun, their big opportunity to pour gasoline on the flames of racism! Those blacks have to believe that racism is what is keeping them in those inner city reservations, not things like they are unemployable because they come with a huge risk of a lawsuit from Jessie Jackemup..

Very interesting read. They lynched him because they wanted "justice", just like everyone wants "justice" for Martin. It almost looked like he could be guilty too, then you get a witness statement 70 years later and the truth comes out.

In 1982, nearly 70 years after the murder, Alonzo Mann, who had been Frank's office boy, told authorities that he had seen Jim Conley alone at the factory carrying Phagan's body. This contradicted Conley's testimony that Frank had paid him to move the girl's body. Mann swore in an affidavit that Conley had threatened to kill him if he reported what he had seen. When the boy told his family, his parents made him swear not to tell anyone else. Mann finally decided to make a statement in what he called an effort to die in peace. He passed a lie detector test, and died three years later at the age of 85.

Not exactly but go ahead and believe what you like if it offers you some comfort.

The guesthouse was built with cinderblocks on 1-inch rebar. The owner must have gotten the rebar for free because I can't imagine why anyone would use it in residential construction. I wouldn't call it a bunker and I was referring more to my location and...other implements. I just can't imagine rioters deciding to hump up my mountain, it is steep and quite a long hike and they would be exposed the whole way up. I can reach out nicely to about 800 yards if needed but I wouldn't do that unless it was villagers with pitchforks and torches. :D

Most of these right wing gun nuts are very insecure. For some they are trying to make up for sexual short comings, some were picked on as children, some have mommy and daddy issues and many are just pussys.
Take Zimmerman for example, a young man in his prime picks on a kid 10 years his junior and has close to 100# on him. What happens when the tables turn, well in Zimmermans case he squealed like a little girl. These gun nuts need their guns to make up for a lack of balls.

Forgot to add some are also just bullies.

Another genius kicking in his 2-cents worth. The two of you combined don't have the gray matter found in a sea cucumber.

You can't yammer about Zimmerman until you are blue in the face. Nothing is going to happen.

All the posters here saying Zimmerman is right, you think nothing is wrong to follow the boy for no reason?
Zimmerman said to the 911 he see that boy walking around. He NEVER report to the 911 he see the boy going on property, or try to break in the door, or try to break in the window. He NEVER see that boy try to hurt someone. And on the 911 call he say "These assholes always get away"
So this is OBVIOUS Zimmerman is thinking this boy is guilty of something. But he have no proof, no facts, nothing.
You tell me why he think this boy is guilty.
WHY HE THINK THE BOY IS GUILTY?

And only one poster is honest to answer that question. Look.

Quote from Mav88:

my son would not start a fist fight on the guy , I know that.

If I were black, I would not be worried about the arrest rate, I would be worried about why the crime rate is so high. Notice that nobody disputes that young black males commit crimes at a very high rate

Quote from trendlover:

So you are saying because he is black is most likely why Zimmerman feel he is suspicious. So he have the right to kill him?

Quote from Mav88:

yes and no. Even Jesse Jackson is suspicious of young black men wearing hoodies, you would have to be stupid not to be as all the evidence we have shows they have a very high rate of committing crimes.
