Treyvon Martin issue is starting to irritate the hell out of me

Quote from trendlover:

All the posters here saying Zimmerman is right, you think nothing is wrong to follow the boy for no reason?
Zimmerman said to the 911 he see that boy walking around. He NEVER report to the 911 he see the boy going on property, or try to break in the door, or try to break in the window. He NEVER see that boy try to hurt someone. And on the 911 call he say "These assholes always get away"
So this is OBVIOUS Zimmerman is thinking this boy is guilty of something. But he have no proof, no facts, nothing.
You tell me why he think this boy is guilty.
WHY HE THINK THE BOY IS GUILTY?

The reason nobody is responding to your posts is that they contain such stupidity that any response would be futile.

You just don't understand that the "following" event and the "assault/shooting" even are separate and not relevant to each other. You should concentrate on learning to tie your shoes and other things that might improve your existence because nobody here is going to debate you.

If that boy is followed by this stranger, no uniform to show the boy it is the police officer, why you are not defending the boy RIGHTS to "stand his ground"?
And you can be mean poster 377, and call me stupid, but you not not answer the question.

So, after telling me I can't reason with the Zimmerman haters here you pick up the torch and try to reason with them yourself?

It is good entertainment for a while but my dog understands me better when I talk to her than these Zimmerman haters understand the legal facts of this incident when I spell it out.

Oh I see. you're just trying to get one mad enough to come march up your driveway with a loaded weapon so you can sight in your Springfield. :D :D

If it turns out to be gwb, just wing him. He's good guy on any other topic.

lol I'm busted :D

I like gwb but think he is misguided on this issue. Actually there are very few people that I genuinely dislike here in P&R. I would go so far as to say I really only dislike Gabfly but futurecurrents is working his way into the number 2 position.

In a sense I keep thinking that if I explain the details of what the police have said that these guys will assimilate the information and start coming to their senses. Pretty laughable I guess.

I've read that the Obama DOJ may bring charges. I hope they do because its going to cost them in November. The country has had enough federally institutionalized racism for a generation or two.

Everybody is looking into this case. They are all Zimmerman haters and can't accept the law nor the outcome.

I heard Casey Anthony was outraged and hired a special prosecuter to nail the bastard Zimmerman. (Just kidding but that is the sort of circus we are seeing.)

Republicans join call for Trayvon Martin inquiry

By Michael O'Brien, msnbc.com

Republicans joined the call for an investigation into the shooting death of Trayvon Martin on Friday, adding rare, bipartisan support in the racially-charged case.

The main Republican presidential contenders each decried the shooting of Martin, a 17-year-old African-American, allegedly by a neighborhood watch member, and joined with President Obama and other Democrats in supporting a Department of Justice investigation into the incident.

"What happened to Trayvon Martin is a tragedy. There needs to be a thorough investigation that reassures the public that justice is carried out with impartiality and integrity," Republican presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney said in a statement.

Rick Santorum, Romney's main rival for the GOP nomination, added: "It's a horrible case, and it's chilling to hear what happened ... I think it's pretty clear the problems we're seeing in this case, and hopefully the state Attorney General and local community is reacting and responding, and hopefully this matter will be an example of what law enforcement has to do in a case like this."

The short answer is that Zimmerman was apparently returning to his SUV when the kid jumped him.

Obviously he was following him because he was a black teen who he didn't recognize, wandering around a restricted area. Some would call that racism, others would say it reflects reality. From the fact that Zimmerman was a frequent caller to 911 for a number of fairly minor issues, it is speculation tosay he wouldn't have done the same thing if it had been an unfamiliar white teen.

"A wide range of neighborhood watch organizations exist across the country. Some have patrols, while others like Sanford’s do not. But the National Sheriffs’ Association, which sponsors the program nationwide, is absolutely clear on one point: guns have no place in a watch group. A manual distributed by the association repeatedly underscores the point: “Patrol members do not carry weapons.”

The manual warns that watch members should “not attempt to apprehend a person committing a crime or to investigate a suspicious activity.” It should be emphasized to members of patrols, the materials state, that “they do not possess police power and they shall not carry weapons.” The consequences of not following the guidelines are severe, the manual states: “Each member is liable as an individual for civil and criminal charges should he exceed his authority.”
