I just mentioned religion in a previous post.
I don't care about God, or if any moon effect exists.
I see these more relevant to humans clinging to things that seem certain in an uncertain world.
This thread is divided between this notion, and people with an obvious confirmation bias of their comforting and soothing beliefs.

The Dow is on the verge of rolling over so immediate upside action is needed or we will test 6300.
So how does the moon work? It gives me a head's up that irrespective of the markets condition, I will look for a reversal that could become a major event.

Great facts 777. Will study that in detail.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, nice reversal on the 5 min chart as I look at the moon. Triggered 8085 Dow.

You're not going to believe this dude, but there's HUGE volume on an almost 900 point ONE DAY - FULL MOON REVERSAL when we were doing a BIG lead balloon drop.
Between you and me, it was just another coincidence and I got lucky... like I did B4... and B4...and B4... and B4... and B4.
Now about your call... you've gone awfully silent. Can you give me some more facts?

We were sideways for most of the day, dipped on low volume into major support, then a cascade of buyers comes into the market. So the full moon did this?
Of course the fuckin full moon did it.
I mean of all things explainable, what else could it be?
Throw away supply and demand, and common conceptions of support/resistance, short-term bargain hunting by institutions, we are completely determined by the moon and not of our perceptions of a chart or market forces.
Come on now, the study that you posted says in the abstract:
"This paper investigates the relation between lunar phases and stock market returns of 48 countries. The findings indicate that stock returns are lower on the days around a full moon than on the days around a new moon."
If I believed this junk, I would have gone short today when we were sideways because of the "correllation" of full moon and lower returns. But I would have been blown up if I was short.
Don't think you're special calling for a reversal today, we have had major midday reversal multiple times a week lately, unless people think they're seeing full moons, it has to be something else.
Only a moon following idiot would go short mid-day and leave his trading post, without regard to the support we mingled with today.

I mean the only thing you moon idiots had to cling to was this study that yoohoo posted, and it says full moons are bad for returns. Here we are on a full moon day with a major upmove, how is this bad for index returns?
Based on what the study says statistically, I should have gone short today. Don't you understand that? I don't care if someone called a reversal, that's easily anticipatable after a long down move into major support. If you people can not believe in unrelated coincidences, then maybe you watched too many disney movies as a kid.
