Trading the Moon

You never answered John's question.

I usually say I blew up my account because of things within my control, my decisions.

But since the moon controls the market, could I blame the moon for not influencing the market as it "should", which caused me to blow up my account? Surely it would make me feel better, just like all those other things designed to make people feel better in an uncertain, unpredictable future: religion, prophesy, fairy tales, bedtime stories, denial etc.

Damn the moon and its whimsical ways. LOL

I came across this thread... Some one called Yoohoo started it.
I cecked out what else he posted ( came across a great thread on FX trading)

I saw that Yoohoo was a very switched on and knowledgable trader... Maybe a very good trader... Intelligent and experienced.

Simply on that basis I've decided to check out this "moon " stuff.

..... A Naked woman does not "control" any Man ... but she would sure "influence" me....

Maybe the moon has a similar subtle influence on us..?????

I'm checking it out...

Here's what stood out for me in the introduction

As many researchers study the patterns of historical stock returns, some will find significant results simply due to chance."

They just undermined their study in the introduction.

Correlation does not imply causation. In every chart presented in this thread, no one has even shown a consistent correlation, let alone causation.

Are you an economist, or trader? Traders just need correlation. Causation doesn't matter. Who cares whether it's the moon that causes changes in direction in the market, or whether it's the market that causes changes in the phase of the moon? :D
 
Because eventually the random gut feelings we have about correlation will catch up to us, our account balances will not know whether they're coming or going.

If cause didn't matter, we may look momentarily to cloud formations for our entry and exit signals, then after a few successful trades...bam clouds predict intra day reversals, life's mysteries are solved.

But don't listen to me you fools, I only have a few posts. My comments on moon trading must be false if someone with over 1000 posts says so. God help you if someone who made contributions with a high post count jumps off a bridge, better get jumpin'
 
This moon stuff has been working out great for me, but after making my daily profits I usually come read ET and fall into Jack-Trance, so I head back to my charts ,start grabbing 3xATR, make 800k, and head down to the track with my kit and whiteboard to draw annotate and talk in pseudo-psycho-techno-babble until everyone leaves :(

Anyhow yoohoo, I wanted to share a new method I found with you while researching some of the more inner complexities of Jack's methods. While I was messing with the calculations for configuring my subspace reaction hatch for properly annotating in multiple spectral colors the various time, volume, space, price dimensions (I trade in 4D now), I realized that my hole wasn't actual in the subspace reaction hatch, but rather in the tactical trade execution and maintenance routines, which had to be rescaled with the ionization functions of my price probes. Using an exterior space/time/price/volume containment platform, I was able to align everything with the maximal trading system. Now put all of this together, and modifying the environmental external variable operating inverter, I made everything mesh together in a unified trading system.

Basically, I've been able to improve the efficiency of my isolinear, artificial immune bio trading system and structural scanner by 47.5 percent, to ~4.5xATR... just genius. What do you think?
