I see you're tripping over yourself to defend Obama, but no one is attacking Obama here. All we're saying is that all that praise you and Spike tossed to Obama for such great economic numbers....we would have expected to see similar for Trump. That is, if you were being fair and balanced.

And deficit and debt are two different things.

I am aware,I pointed it out to jem in a prior thread.Just mentioned it here because it was a damn good job turning a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit to a 441 billion dollar deficit.If Trump turns the budget around by 700 billion dollars I will give him all the credit in the world.

I would agree that turning a 1.2T deficit to a 441B one is good work. However, when your spending programs are pushing out higher spending to the outset of a 10 year mark like some entitlement programs, OR if your projections are off then it's really irrelevant in the end. Additionally, income is a big part of that, and if you've got a recovery going on and tax receipts are rising, you get the benefit of that.

Did Obama actually cut spending? Or was he President during an increase in tax receipts that actually cut the deficit for him? Do you know? I do.
