Topstep trader combine as a newb.

I totally agree, I think I'm not close to ready. More so I think of that fantasy of being able to spend more time studying, and engaged. My real goal would be 5 years from now going full time.
 
I'm only close, when I'm trading well, I nearly quit last March took a contract and been much much busier than I expected, expected just support work, so free to trade near full time, epic fail.

5 years is close enough, I wouldn't of expected 10, some years I've barely made 2 trades.

Combine, could get you there much faster, keeps your sim trading straight if nothing else, as long as it's not costing you too much!
 
The cost isn't bad at all. If it teaches me something, it'll be worth it. Hopefully it does get me there quicker for sure.

I've taken the steps financially to eventually take some heat off trading if I were to make it to full time. Bought a house for 1x income instead of overextending, won't have any other debt at that time, etc. Do lease a car now, but I might as well get something from working my life away. Basically, I'm making all of these decisions like it's a matter of fact that I'll be trading for a living eventually.
 
Sounds good, I need approx $2000 USD per month to pay my way, so $100 per day average, 10 Dax pts, +$140 today been kinda slow though and over slept :(

Be warned, trading does get very boring full time.

I'm ok with the boredom. Cary before the horse, though. Let's see if I can get consistent to even think about it one day.

I just trade the DAX, best mover and cheaper spread cost for my broker that's all, looking like US30/Dow/YM for the US session might work better, despite the 2pt spread compared to 1.
 
No, I live in the states. I lived near Frankfurt in Highschool though. My parents were in the Army then.

Would love to get to the UK eventually though. Used to be very huge in to a lot of music back when I still dj'd. Lots of nights over there I'd like to go out to, so I can relive my youth :)
 
Personally, plan to be in Spain by the time I'm 50, so 5 years to go, better weather and a beach, I like trading on a beach.

Keep my house here, go between the 2 then, flights are cheap enough.
