Tony is desperate

The system was designed so that states like ND have a way to check places like CA and try to avoid mob rule. If you don't understand this, I suggest taking a course on The Constitution and what makes us a republic. The system was beautifully engineered by our Founders. In your statement above, it's ironic that you state that you do not like "fly over" to tell you how to live. With this admission, you have unwittingly made the argument for ND having the same number of senators as CA since this helps ND avoid the CA mob telling them how to live. Your absolutely ridiculous answer indicates that you are un-American at best.

I totally understand the design. All I am saying is that it is not fair when minority tells majority how to live. In cases of ND vs CA 800K people should not have equal say to 40 mil people, but they do unfortunately.

The Founders were BRILLIANT! America is (well, was) great because of the Constitution, BOR, and Electoral College.... unlike anything ever known throughout history... it was the famed "America fired the shot heard around the world". People on-board with the "spirit of America" understand and believe in this. Those who are greedy and consumed with power-lust don't like it.... mostly because "the American way" is to be free, to work, achieve, and have based upon your own merits. The Left wants power (even tyrannical or dictatorial power) and control, REGARDLESS, and tries to buy it promising to take from those who earn and give to those who don't in exchange for their vote. And if that doesn't work, destroy everything and start over with them at the wheel. (Which is what ANTIFA and this impeachment circus is all about.)

:(

The electoral college was not invented by the founders, it had historical precedent in Rome and ancient Germanic culture at least, probably also in Celtic societies. Go back to infowars you ignoramus..

And the constitution.. and... back to infowars dummy.

Yes--- so as you can see, The Electoral College is integral to fair elections in The US. Over 49 states, Trump wins popular vote, yet the mob in California makes it so that folks like you can then claim that Trump lost the popular vote by a bunch. --- and so is an illegitimate president. Then you can try to remove him from office. The Electoral College was designed for just this type of mob rule avoidance.

No one is claiming that he is illegitimate president. People just say that he lost popular vote, which he did.

It's painful to watch someone who knows nothing of US History try and show off their "knowledge". The above posting is a joke.

Please point to any deficiencies with what you believe to be correct and we shall see.

and they don't. They merely have a check on the mob. The House still has a whole lot more CA members than ND members.

Look at New York State.
In 2018, Cuomo won 7 of 62 counties. And he gets to represent the state. What kind of bullshit is that? How is that representative of the ‘will of the people’?

New York is Forever Blue...????

Many of those red blocks have large open spaces with little or no population. Cows and birds don't vote, people do. State elections are not Electoral College they are popular votes. Cuomo won the popular vote.

it is not hard to understand....

When it comes to Senate they do. You calling hard working people who represent 2/3 of national GDP a mob. Do you realize how idiotic that is???? Yes, Trump won lots more counties, but the ones Clinton won represent 2/3 of GDP.

The Senate is a check on The House------in the case of shampeachment, it's a check on a rogue House. --If what you say is true about GDP, then the EC is a check on the wealthy.

The system simply forces the political powers to consider people from a bigger part of the country, which are citizens just as the others that live in more heavily populated areas. This does not mean that the politian can simply ignore people in more populated areas, because he/she still has to please them, otherwise they will not vote for him.

Mob rule (a.k.a. Democracy) is not a good idea. Venezuela is a great example of this. A dictator was literally voted in by the mob, because if people realize that if they band together, they can vote to explore a certain group of people, they will do it.

The U.S. Constitution has the primary goal of limiting government's powers and avoiding mob rule is crucial to this. It simply is a stupid idea that people from a handful of big centers have a disproportionate amount of power over the lives of people living hundreds or even thounsands of miles from these centers.

After all, we're talking about a FEDERAL election. It only makes sense that this election takes in consideration the WHOLE COUNTRY, otherwise there would not be much difference between this election and the ones in local state and municipal elections. There's a reason for this difference to exist.
